While some veterinarians recommend giving a puppy some of its first shots at six weeks of age, many recommend doing so at eight weeks with more at 12 and 16 weeks. The first shots are for parvo virus, hepatitis, distemper, and Para influenza. Be sure to talk with your vet about a preferred schedule for your puppy.
